Salman Rushdie finally

Of late, I have been quite an avid book reader. I started my fiction reading journey with The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho in 2004. It was a great read, perhaps one of my favorite philosophy book, but then, for an year or two, I lost interest in reading, and when I started again, I found myself with Chetan Bhagat's first book Five point someone, I considered it an average book, but still I read more books by Indian authors, and one by one each book disappointed me more than the previous, I kind of developed a hatred for Indian authors, I read Mitch Albom's three books afterwards, namely, Tuesdays with Morrie, Five people you meet in heaven & For one more day, all of the three books were classy in their own ways, I followed my reading with Erich Segal's Love story, and I don't need to praise that book, of course it's one of the best books in any library. I came back to Paulo Coelho and this time I read one of his most controversial and bold book, Eleven minutes, all these books and books that followed in my closet were good to great reads, either it is The Godfather or Catch-22I loved each one of them with equal compassion. Although I started hating Indian chick books written by college students, I knew there are some great writers in India, such as Arundhati Roy, Salman Rushdie and more, some are even youngsters but great writers. I always wanted to know about the great Salman Rushdie, but I ignored to do an exercise over internet, but last month, during the Jaipur Literature Festival, I heard a lot in the news about Salman Rushdie and his Satanic Verses. So I google-d him and read a whole lot of pages only about him, and I downloaded a lot of his books [e books] via torrent, and finally I started reading this book called Midnight's Children and I need to remark you, Salman Rushdie is really lively, I went through 2 pages of that book, and I couldn't stop myself being away from it. I found out that he is a novelist since the 7o's and now I have got to do a lot of catching up, I am gonna read all of his 7 books by the end of june this year.

After Mitch Albom, Sidney Sheldon, Erich Segal, Mario Puzo, Joseph Heller etc, it's Salman Rushdie finally.
